Writing support that understands how your child learns
Milo is a free Chrome extension that works inside Google Docs. It watches how your child writes — not just what they write — and quietly adapts its support to the way they learn.
Milo provides screening-style indicators only. It is not a medical, educational, or psychological diagnosis and is not a substitute for professional assessment.
Typing insights that build a picture over time
Milo learns from how your child writes — not just what they write.
Every writing session gives Milo more data: typing speed, pause patterns, correction frequency, and consistency. These patterns can surface indicators associated with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences — often before they show up in grades. The more your child writes, the richer the picture becomes.
Structure, expand and assess — guided writing support
Help with planning, building detail, and understanding how well work meets the task.
Milo reads the assignment and offers three types of guide: Structure breaks the task into sections so your child knows where to start. Expand suggests where to add detail, examples, or explanation. Assess gives feedback on how well the draft meets the task — with strengths and next steps, never grades.
Milo Chat — a writing assistant that adapts
Ask for simpler words, shorter sentences, or help getting unstuck.
Milo Chat is an in-document assistant that responds to your child's writing level, typing patterns, and preferences. It doesn't write for them — it helps them find their own way. Ask it to rephrase, simplify, or explain. It adapts over time as it learns how your child works best.
Long-term progress and trajectory
See how writing patterns change over weeks, months, and terms.
On the paid plan, trajectory views show how your child's typing is evolving. Consistency, speed, and pause patterns are tracked over time so you can see progress — not just a snapshot from one session. This is the kind of longitudinal data that professionals use, built into everyday homework.

Questions parents ask
Is Milo a diagnosis tool?
No. Milo provides screening-style indicators based on typing patterns. These can highlight areas worth exploring with a professional, but they are not a diagnosis. We make this clear throughout the product.
What data does Milo collect?
Typing patterns (timing, pauses, corrections) only while your child is writing in Google Docs. We do not track activity outside Docs. We do not sell data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How is this different from a tutor?
Milo doesn't teach content — it supports the process of writing. It helps with structure, clarity, and confidence. It adapts to how your child works, not just what subject they're studying.
Does my child need a diagnosis to use Milo?
No. Milo is designed for any learner. Students with identified needs benefit from adapted support, but any student writing in Google Docs can use Milo to improve their writing process.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from within the extension or via Stripe. There is no cancellation fee and no lock-in. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
Is it safe for children?
Yes. Milo runs only inside Google Docs. It does not access other tabs, websites, or files. All data is handled under UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
